Meditation for the win! What’s your technique?

Dennis Berry's avatar

Yes, meditation... and long walks. I average about 13k steps a day this last year. MOST of my "problems" are solved on those walks. Mother Nature is the best therapist.

It’s definitely obvious that stress clouds judgment, we can all feel it.

I also do the 'pause before reacting', meditate, and journal more during tense times. There three things have always helped.

Those are healthy habits of high performers. The power of the pause is priceless.

Great article Dennis. I do TM mediation, although not regularly as I should. It has taken me out of very stressful situations. Good tips here.

This is great, Dennis! So important to have your own house in order, at peace

Amen! And, nobody is going to put it in order for us. We better do it, now!

Thanks Dennis. This is a great piece and a real encouragement for people trying to accelerate towards burnout! And thank you for always being so generous with your time and networks as well. You are living your words. 🙏

Thank you too... We really need to make inner peace a high priority. The clock is ticking... it's not worth the stress.

a lot of people are trying to add more things to fix themselves, better to make it simpler

Every time I’ve been around a leader who radiates calm instead of panic, it’s made the difference between chaos and clarity. It’s a reminder that how we show up is bigger than any tool. Thank you!
