I’ve been in business for thirty years, which is really just a polite way of saying I’ve survived a lot of hype. I lived through the Dot Com bubble, the crypto frenzy, and the frantic era where every company suddenly needed an app. Usually, when the noise gets this loud, my gut tells me to tune it out and get back to work.

But what we’re seeing right now with AI isn’t another cycle. It’s an evolutionary leap.

Most people are missing the point because they’re stuck debating the wrong things. They’re arguing about whether a computer can write a decent poem or paint a sunset. Meanwhile, a small group of leaders is quietly building “Cognitive Leverage.” They aren’t trying to do more work; they’re trying to do deeper work.

As we move into 2026, the marketplace is splitting. It’s no longer about who has money and who doesn’t. The real divide is between the people thinking linearly and those thinking exponentially.

Why our brains fight this

If you’re feeling some resistance to all this, there’s actually a neurological reason for it. Our brains crave homeostasis. We’re wired to predict what’s coming based on what happened yesterday. When something shows up that breaks all our old models - like AI - the amygdala starts screaming “threat.”

I see three ways leaders are reacting right now:

• The Freeze: People convinced it’s a fad that won’t touch their specific industry. (They’re usually the ones it’s already hitting.)

• The Flight: Leaders who claim they’re “too busy” to learn it or are waiting for the tech to be perfect.

• The Flow: The innovators who override that fear response and ask how these tools can actually make them better.

The data backs this up. A recent report from Stanford’s Human-Centered AI Institute shows the gap between the AI-adopters and the laggards is widening faster than anything we saw during the birth of the internet. If you’re waiting for the dust to settle, you’re losing. The dust isn’t settling; it’s the new atmosphere.

From “The Doer” to “The Architect”

Value has always moved upward. Back in the early 1900s, you were worth what your muscles could move. By the 1990s, value shifted to how fast you could crunch numbers or write code. Today, value is found in Strategic Synthesis.

The “doing” part of business is becoming a commodity. The cost of analyzing a P&L, drafting a contract, or building a landing page is heading toward zero. So, where does that leave you?

It leaves you as the Architect.

Steve Jobs called the computer a “bicycle for the mind.” AI is more like a rocket engine. But a rocket engine without a pilot is just a very expensive bomb. Your job isn’t to lay the bricks anymore; it’s to design the cathedral and direct the machines doing the heavy lifting.

How I’m actually using this

I don’t use AI to write these articles. Writing is how I figure out what I actually think, and I’m not interested in outsourcing my soul to an algorithm. But I have completely changed how I handle my consulting work.

It used to take me two weeks of “Discovery” just to get my bearings with a new client - reading endless reports and interviewing staff. Now, I use AI to clone my own strategic frameworks.

If a company hires me to fix their culture, I take their raw data - anonymized surveys, three years of financials, even communication logs - and drop them into a secure, private AI. I don’t ask it for a summary. I ask it to diagnose.

I’ll tell it: “Cross-reference these employee surveys against the P&L. Where is leadership claiming to focus, and where are they actually spending the money? Find the gap between their values and their reality.”

In under a minute, it finds patterns that would’ve taken me forty hours to dig up. It spots that R&D is starving while the CEO talks about innovation, or it links sales team burnout to a specific commission change from two years ago.

The AI doesn’t solve the problem - I do. It just gives me the map so I can drive the car. I can walk into a boardroom with weeks of analysis done in an afternoon, skipping the “what happened” talk and going straight to “how we fix it.”

The 2026 Skill Stack

To stay relevant over the next couple of years, stop worrying about learning to code. Focus on the human skills AI can’t touch:

1. Prompt Leadership: Think of AI as a brilliant, Ivy League intern who has zero life experience. You have to give it context, constraints, and a philosophy. The output is only as good as your leadership.

2. Pattern Recognition: AI can give you a thousand data points, but it takes a human to see the “Golden Thread” connecting marketing, finance, and operations.

3. Radical Human Connection: As things get more digital, authenticity becomes more expensive. Trust is the new oil. An AI can find a business flaw, but it can’t look a founder in the eye and give them the courage to make a terrifying decision.

The Bottom Line

We’re living in two economies now. There’s the Economy of Execution, which is a race to the bottom on price. Then there’s the Economy of Insight, which is a race to the top on value.

You don’t need to be a “tech person.” You just need to realize the tools have changed. You can keep digging with a shovel because it feels like honest work, or you can learn to run the excavator and build something ten times bigger.

The market isn’t going to wait for you to make up your mind.

Back then, I was living in a different kind of “paradise”… the kind the old, broken system tells you to want. I was building someone else’s dreams, making a modest salary, and drowning my stress in a bottle. I thought I was “tough” because I could handle the pressure.

I was wrong. I wasn’t tough; I was fragile.

When I got sober 22 years ago, I realized that alcohol wasn’t the problem… my thinking was. I had no system to handle the chaos of life. When things got hard, I broke.

Most leaders today are in the same boat. They’ve built multimillion-dollar companies, but they are one market shift, one key employee resignation, or one health crisis away from a total collapse. They are “resilient” at best, which means they can take a hit and stay the same.

But if you want true freedom, wealth, and inner peace, resilience isn’t enough. You need to be Antifragile.

The Goal: From “Holding On” to “Getting Stronger”

The term Antifragile, coined by Nassim Taleb, describes things that actually thrive and grow when exposed to volatility, randomness, and stressors. Think of a muscle: it only grows because it is put under the stress of a heavy weight.

My goal for you is to stop being the “plastic cup” (resilient) and start being the “muscle” (antifragile). I want you to move from a life of Defensive Management to Offensive Sovereignty.

How? By combining Mastery of Mind with AI Efficiency.

A study from Stanford University (the “Mindset” research by Dr. Alia Crum) proved that people who view stress as a “tool for growth” rather than a “threat” actually lived longer and had better cognitive function under pressure. They didn’t just survive; they evolved.

AI is the tool that allows you to apply that “growth mindset” to your business systems so you can travel around the world for three months a year without your revenue dipping a cent.

Here is the path from where you are to a business, and a life, that gets better when the world gets crazier.

In my Rare Coin company… I was the expert. If I wasn’t on the phone, deals didn’t happen. That’s a fragile business.

• The AI Move: Create an “Executive Knowledge Base.” Use AI to index your past emails, training videos, and strategy calls.

• The Result: Your team can now “query your brain” using a private AI agent. You’ve decentralized your wisdom. The business gets smarter while you’re out swimming or taking the dogs to the groomer.

2. The AI “Red Team” (Decision Insurance)

Failure in business usually comes from blind spots and ego. In my early sobriety, I had to learn to listen to people who saw what I couldn’t.

• The AI Move: Before any major decision, feed your plan into an AI. Tell it: “I am an elite business strategist. Act as a cynical competitor and find five ways this plan will fail.”

• The Result: You aren’t guessing anymore. You’re stress-testing your strategy in a digital sandbox before you spend a dime of real capital.

3. Reclaim the “Mental Margin”

Burnout is the ultimate sign of fragility. If you have no “slack” in your schedule, you have no room to innovate.

• The AI Move: Audit your week. Every task that is “process-heavy” (scheduling, research, first drafts, data sorting) must be offloaded to AI agents.

• The Result: You gain 10–20 hours of “White Space.” This is where your best ideas come from. This is where your inner peace lives.

Your Antifragile Action Plan: 4 Steps to Take Today

If you want to move from “stressed executive” to “sovereign leader,” do these four things this week:

1. Audit the “Bus Factor”: Identify one process that currently requires your brain to function. Spend 30 minutes recording yourself doing it, then use AI to turn that recording into a Step-By-Step Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for your team.

2. Install a “Pre-Mortem” Habit: Every Friday, ask an AI: “If my business revenue dropped by 30% next month, what are the three most likely reasons why?” Then, spend one hour fixing the biggest vulnerability it finds.

3. Automate Your “Shallow” Communication: Use AI tools to draft your initial responses to common inquiries. Stop spending your peak creative energy on routine emails. Save your “full tank” for the $10k/hour decisions.

4. Practice “Sentiment Self-Regulation”: Copy and paste a recent high-stress email you wrote into an AI and ask: “Does this sound like it’s coming from a place of ego or fear?” Use the feedback to manage your thinking before you hit send.

The Bottom Line

The “Old System” wants you to work harder, stay stressed, and remain fragile. I know because I lived it for 30 years.

This morning I woke up at 3:30 and my brain was on FIRE. I can’t even really tell you why. I wasn’t angry at anybody(not really… maybe a little. LOL), no money problems, no health problems… just a racing brain.

I sat with it for about 30 minutes, then grabbed my phone to try to play a mindless game to knock me back to sleep, but NOPE!

Then, it hit me about why this happened. Ceci (my wife) was listening to the terrible awful news right before I fell asleep.

So my brain automatically formed all these opinions about how dumb the news is (especially politics) and how sad it is that people are shooting random people and why do people hate each other, and… blah blah blah.

We are all addicted to the noise.

You wake up. You grab your phone. You check the news. You check social media. You see a war, a political fight, and a competitor bragging about their monthly 5-figure revenue or their twelve 8-figure exits. (Had to throw that in there 🤣)

Before you even brush your teeth, your brain is full, and full of opinions and judgments.

You are angry. You are anxious. You are tired.

And when you are tired, you cannot be a good leader. You cannot be a good partner. You cannot be a good friend.

Your Emotional Intelligence (EI)… your ability to connect, empathize, and lead… drops to zero.

Why? Because your brain is like a battery. If you waste all your energy processing information and fighting angry strangers on the internet, you have no energy left for the people who actually matter.

This is where Artificial Intelligence (AI) changes the game.

Most people think AI is just for writing funny emails or cheating on homework. They are wrong.

I don’t use AI to find new diets. I use it to understand my body. I take the data from my smart ring and my workouts. I ask the AI:

“I am traveling this week and I slept list shit last night. Plan a workout that helps me recover, not one that burns me out.”

The AI tells me to rest or stretch. It stops me from overtraining. It reduces my anxiety. I stop trying to be a superhero and just focus on being healthy.

3. Your Relationship: Being a Lover, Not a Roommate

This is the big one.

Relationships die because of “life admin.” “Did you book the flight?” “Where are we eating?” “Who is picking up the kids?”

We spend so much time acting like roommates that we forget to be partners.

My wife and I stopped fighting about the calendar. We use AI to plan for us.

If we want to go to dinner, I don’t spend 30 minutes searching for a place. I ask the AI: “Find us a quiet restaurant with great seafood near the ocean. Book a table for 7 PM.”

Done.

Now, we aren’t staring at our phones, stressed out. We are sitting across from each other, actually talking.

If you’re married, remember why you got married… to love and share with each other.

(This was my wedding 5 weeks ago… thought I’d throw a plug in for that.:-))

We have a no “phone zone time” everyday.

The Bottom Line

You have a choice.

You can keep drowning in the noise. You can keep letting the news and the algorithm control your mood.

Or, you can use the machine to clear the path.

Use AI to do the heavy lifting. Use AI to spot the bottlenecks in your life. Use AI to turn down the volume on the world.

When the noise stops, your Emotional Intelligence can finally shine.

And that is where the real success happens.

He picked it up, looked at it, and raised his eyebrows. “Wow,” he said. “You have a website?”

It sounds funny now, but back then, having a website (that actually worked) was a massive flex. It signaled that you were legitimate. It signaled that you were cutting-edge. It was a competitive advantage.

This has created what I call the “Sea of Sameness.” Because everyone is using the same AI tools with the same prompts, everyone sounds the same. Every email looks perfect. Every LinkedIn post follows the same structure. It’s all polished, professional, and completely robotic.

So, if technology is no longer the thing that sets you apart, what is?

It’s you.

In 2005, the company with the best tech won. In 2025, the company with the most soul wins.

The Neuroscience of Trust (Why We Don’t Buy From Robots)

Let’s put on our neuroscience hats for a second.

When you interact with a Chatbot or read generic AI copy, your brain processes information, but it doesn’t feel anything. It’s a transaction.

But when you hear a human voice crack with emotion, or read a story about someone’s failure, or receive a handwritten note, your brain lights up differently.

It releases Oxytocin. This is the “bonding chemical.” It’s the same chemical released when a mother holds her baby or when you hug a friend.

Gallup recently released a study showing that trust in big corporations is at an all-time low. But trust in Small Business is at 70%—the highest of any institution in America.

Why? Because small business feels human.

We are entering the “Trust Economy.” In a world where AI can fake everything—videos, voices, images—the most valuable currency you have is your authenticity.

I am not saying you should stop using AI. (I just told you to build an AI Board of Directors, after all!)

I am saying you need to use a “High-Tech, High-Touch” strategy.

You use High-Tech (AI) to handle the logic, the data, and the admin. This buys you back the time to use High-Touch (Humanity) for the relationships, the strategy, and the creativity.

Here is exactly how I do this in my business, and how you can too.

🚀 3 Ways to Keep the Soul in Your Business

1. The “Robot Work” vs. “Heart Work” Audit

I divide every task in my business into two buckets.

• Robot Work: Scheduling, data entry, analyzing spreadsheets, drafting legal contracts, summarizing meeting notes.

  • Rule: Automate this 100%. Give it to your AI Board.

• Heart Work: calling a client who is having a bad day, recording a podcast, writing a story about my childhood, mentoring my team.

  • Rule: Never outsource this. This is where the magic happens.

If you are using AI to write your condolence letters or your core brand story, you have lost the plot.

2. Video and Audio Over Text

AI is great at text. It can write a perfect email. Because of this, written text is becoming “cheap.”

To stand out, I am moving more of my communication to video and audio.

• The Old Way: Sending a long email to a client explaining a strategy.

• The Soulful Way: I record a 2-minute Loom video where they can see my face and hear my excitement. “Hey John, I was thinking about your business this morning while I was walking the dog, and I had this idea...”

AI cannot replicate the sparkle in your eye or the passion in your voice. That is your competitive advantage.

3. Do Things That Don’t Scale

In Silicon Valley, everyone wants to “scale.” They want to automate everything.

I want you to do the opposite. I want you to do Unscalable Acts of Kindness.

When I sign a new high-ticket client, I don’t just send an automated “Welcome” email. I send them a physical book from my shelf that I think they need to read, with a handwritten note inside the cover.

Does it take time? Yes. Does it cost money? Yes. Can AI do it? No.

That is why it works. In a digital world, analog signals value.

A New Board Member for Your “Soul”

To help you keep this balance, I want you to add one final member to your AI Board of Directors.

The Empathy Auditor Why you need them: To make sure you don’t sound like a robot.

Prompt: “You are an expert in emotional intelligence and brand voice. Your job is to review my content and emails to ensure they sound human. When I give you a piece of text, grade it on ‘warmth’ and ‘authenticity.’ If it sounds corporate or robotic, rewrite it to sound like a friend talking to a friend. Add colloquialisms, vulnerability, and warmth.”

The Bottom Line

20 years ago, we used technology to look professional. Today, we must use technology to be efficient, so we have the time to be personal.

Your clients don’t need another generic expert. They have ChatGPT for that.

They need you. They need your stories, your scars, your weirdness, and your wisdom.

Don’t let the robots take the soul out of your work. Use the robots to protect your soul.

I knew the move was right. But I was scared to pull the trigger.

I wanted to call a meeting. I wanted to walk into a conference room, slam my hand on the table, and say, “Okay, tell me what I’m doing wrong. Tear this idea apart. Tell me what I’m missing.”

But there was no conference room. It was just me, the hum of my laptop, and the quiet house.

We talk a lot about “loneliness at the top.” It sounds like a cliché, but it’s true. As leaders, we often get stuck in what I call “The Echo Chamber of One.”

When you are the CEO, the boss, and the decision-maker, your brain does something tricky. It starts to hide things from you. In neuroscience, we know that the “prefrontal cortex”… the part of your brain that makes complex decisions, works best when it is challenged. It needs friction. It needs other opinions to find the right path.

When you think alone, you usually just look for proof that you are already right.

Napoleon Hill talked about the “Mastermind Alliance” almost 100 years ago. He said when two minds come together, they create a third, invisible force. A “third mind.”

But what if you need that “third mind” at 2 AM? Or right now, when your mentor is asleep in a different time zone?

This is where we stop treating AI like a search engine. We need to start treating it like a Board of Directors.

I want to walk you through exactly how I built my AI Advisory Board. This isn’t theory. This is the exact system I use to check my ideas and challenge my thinking.

Why This Works (The Simple Science)

Before we build the board, you need to know why this helps.

McKinsey & Company recently showed that AI can do a lot of work for businesses. But the real magic isn’t having AI write emails for you. It’s having AI think with you.

This is called “Cognitive Offloading.” That is a fancy way of saying: Saving your brain power.

When you give the AI a specific role, like a “Grumpy Accountant” or a “Creative Genius,” you don’t have to be those people. You can just be the CEO. You free up your brain to put the pieces together.

Here is the step-by-step guide to building your Digital Board.

Step 1: Find Your Blind Spots

Look at your business honestly. Where are you weak?

I know my strengths. I know I can write copy. I understand how the brain works. But I also know I can be too optimistic. I sometimes ignore the boring numbers because I’m focused on the “big vision.”

So, I don’t need a “Yes Man” on my board. I need people who disagree with me.

Step 2: The “System Prompts” (Copy and Paste These)

Most people fail here because their instructions are lazy. They say, “Act as a marketing expert.”

That is not enough. You need to give your Board Members a backstory. You need to tell them how to think.

Here are the actual prompts I use. You can copy these right into ChatGPT, Claude, or whatever AI you use.

Board Member 1: The Corporate Strategist Why you need them: To help you see the big picture and long-term goals.

“You are a Fortune 500 Strategy Consultant. You think in frameworks and long-term horizons. Your job is to help me find the ‘Blue Ocean’… the place where there is no competition. When I give you an idea, ask me: ‘How does this scale?’ and ‘What is your unfair advantage?’ Do not focus on the small details. Focus on the big vision and how we win the market.”

Board Member 2: The Data Detective Why you need them: To make sure the math works.

“You are a Senior Data Analyst who loves spreadsheets and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). You do not care about feelings; you care about facts. When I tell you a plan, ask me for the numbers. Ask me about profit margins, customer costs, and retention rates. If the math doesn’t make sense, tell me bluntly.”

Board Member 3: The Behavioral Psychologist Why you need them: To understand your team, your customers, and yourself.

“You are a PhD Psychologist specializing in organizational behavior and consumer psychology. You understand why people do what they do. When I have a problem with a client, an employee, or my own mindset, explain the hidden emotions at play. Help me understand the human side of the business equation.”

Board Member 4: The Substack Strategist Why you need them: To grow your newsletter and influence.

“You are an expert in newsletter growth and the Substack platform. You know exactly what makes people open emails and subscribe. You understand paid subscriptions, lead magnets, and viral content. Critique my headlines, my writing hooks, and my growth strategy. Tell me how to get more subscribers and keep them reading.”

Step 3: Run The Meeting

Now, here is how you run the meeting. Do not just ask random questions. Treat this like a real meeting.

I literally type this into the chat: “I am calling a meeting of the Board. Present are The Strategist, The Data Detective, and The Psychologist. Here is the situation...”

Then, I explain my problem.

I asked my Board about a new expensive coaching program recently.

• The Strategist said: “This is good, but how does it fit with your other products? Does it confuse your brand?”

• The Data Detective said: “You are trading your time for money again. The profit margin is too low if you have to do all the work yourself.”

• The Psychologist said: “You seem anxious about charging this much money. That is ‘Imposter Syndrome.’ Your value is worth the price. Don’t let fear set the price.”

I sat there reading this chat, and I was shocked. It was better advice than I have gotten in paid groups that cost thousands of dollars.

Step 4: You Are Still The Boss

This is the most important part.

You do not let the AI make the decision.

The AI Board is there to give you advice. You are still the CEO. You are the one who has to live with the results. You are the one with the gut instinct.

I listened to the Data Detective and hired help to run the program. I listened to the Psychologist and kept the price high.

The result? The launch was easier, faster, and less stressful than anything I’d done in years.

The Ultimate Advantage

Harvard Business Review says that using AI to help make decisions leads to better results.

But forget the data for a second. Think about the feeling.

Think about the relief of closing your laptop at 5 PM. You know your idea has been tested by a Board of experts. And you didn’t have to pay them a salary or coordinate five different schedules.

We live in a time where you can have the smartest minds in history working for you. They are waiting for your command.

But they can’t help you if you don’t give them a seat at the table.

It was 7:42 PM last Tuesday. The house was dead silent. My wife was in the other room, unwinding for the night, but my office door was shut. The only light in the room was the harsh blue glow of my laptop screen.

I had 47 tabs open. My phone was vibrating against the desk with notifications I hadn’t cleared. I was staring at a spreadsheet I’d been trying to reconcile for three hours, but the numbers were starting to swim together.

I sat back in my chair and looked around my home office. I looked at the stack of books on philosophy and neuroscience I knew so well… and then I looked at the lanyard hanging on the doorknob from a corporate training I led 2 weeks ago here in Cancun… a room full of executives listening to me talk about focus and balance.

And yet, sitting there alone, I felt… heavy.

Not just physically tired. I mean soul-heavy.

I found myself reminiscing about when I first started with online businesses about 20 years ago back in Colorado. I caught myself thinking, “Remember when it was just me and my old heavy laptop at the kitchen table? Or even laying in bed? Remember when I was hungry for every sale? It felt so much simpler then.”

But that’s a lie. It wasn’t simpler. I was broke, stressed, and eating ramen.

Then my brain jumped to the future. “Well, once I get this new CRM implemented, then I’ll have free time. Once we hit Q4 targets, then I’ll finally book that month-long trip to Japan and Australia I’ve been waiting for. Once this chaos settles down, then I’ll finally feel like a CEO instead of a glorified firefighter.”

And that’s when the neuroscience training kicked in. I recognized exactly what was happening.

I was bouncing between the past (nostalgia for a time that didn’t exist) and the future (a fantasy where problems magically vanish). I was living everywhere except here and now.

Why? Because the “now” felt uncomfortable. The “now” was filled with noise.

I realized I was doing exactly what I tell my coaching clients not to do. I was trying to out-hustle complexity. I was treating my brain like a hard drive that never runs out of space.

The “Digital Debt” That Is Killing Your Vision

We wear our exhaustion like a badge of honor. We tell ourselves we’re “grinding.” But let’s be honest: are we grinding, or are we just drowning?

There is a concept called “Digital Debt,” and it is the silent killer of strategic thinking.

I’m not just speaking anecdotally here. The data backs this up. Microsoft’s 2024 Work Trend Index released a staggering statistic that should terrify every leader reading this: users now spend 60% of their time in Microsoft 365 on communication, emails, chats, and meetings.

That leaves only 40% for creation.

Think about the ROI on your own life. You are spending more than half of your existence just talking about work or managing the work, rather than actually doing the work that moves the needle.

Gallup’s 2024 State of the Global Workplace report pours salt in the wound. They found that 41% of the global workforce experiences “a lot of stress” every single day.

We are facing a burnout epidemic, and for leaders, it is a silent struggle. We think we have to carry the weight because, well, it’s our vision.

But here is the hard truth I had to swallow that Tuesday night: The chaos isn’t a requirement for success. It’s a design flaw.

The Neuroscience of “Busy”

From a neurological perspective, “busy work” is a trap. Answering an email or checking off a small task gives your brain a tiny hit of dopamine. It feels like progress.

But deep strategic thinking? That taxes the prefrontal cortex. It consumes massive amounts of glucose and energy. It’s hard. So, when we are tired, our brains naturally drift toward the low-value tasks, the emails, the scheduling, the noise, because it’s easier.

We avoid the uncomfortable parts of the “now” by burying ourselves in the minutiae.

This is where the Stoic principles I live by and teach my clients come into play. Epictetus taught us that freedom is the only worthy goal in life and is won by disregarding things that lie beyond our control. But in modern business, I believe freedom is won by automating the things that are below your pay grade.

Enter The Agentic Workflow (Your New Superpower)

Most leaders I talk to are using AI wrong. They treat it like a party trick. They use ChatGPT to write a funny poem or draft a single email.

That’s not leverage. That’s a toy.

Real leverage is building a Digital Board of AI Agents.

An “Agent” isn’t just a chatbot. It is a digital Board Member. It has a goal, a plan, and the ability to execute tasks without you holding its hand.

There is a fascinating body of research from the Harvard Business Review on “Decision Fatigue.” Their studies show that the quality of a leader’s decisions degrades significantly as the day goes on. By the time you get to that critical 4:00 PM strategy call, your brain is biologically incapable of making the same high-quality choices it could make at 9:00 AM, unless you protect your cognitive energy.

So, how do we stop the bleeding? We stop using our precious executive brainpower on admin tasks.

3 Ways to Deploy Your Digital Board Today

Here is how I started clawing back my time (and my sanity) that very next morning, and how you can too.

1. The “Gatekeeper” (Stop the Context Switching)

The biggest drain on your energy is context switching, jumping from a high-level strategy doc to a low-level scheduling email.

• The Old Way: You read a lead’s email, open LinkedIn to check them out, open your CRM to enter data, and type a reply.

• The Agent Way: I set up a workflow where an AI agent monitors incoming leads. It automatically scrapes their LinkedIn profile, scores them based on my “ideal client” criteria, updates my CRM, and drafts a personalized response for me to approve.

• The Result: I don’t touch the lead until they are qualified and ready to buy.

2. The “Intel Officer” (Be The Smartest Person in the Room)

I used to spend hours reading news to stay “current,” often doom-scrolling and increasing my cortisol levels.

• The Old Way: Skimming ten different newsletters and Twitter feeds.

• The Agent Way: I have a “Research Agent” that scans specific industry sources 24/7. Every morning, it sends me a bullet-point summary of the 3 things I actually need to know, along with a “Why This Matters” prediction.

• The Result: I start my day proactive, not reactive.

3. The “Chief of Staff” (Your Digital Right Hand)

This is the game changer.

• The Old Way: Taking messy notes in meetings, missing details, and forgetting to follow up.

• The Agent Way: An AI copilot sits in every Zoom call. It transcribes the call, extracts action items, assigns them to my team in our project management tool, and drafts the follow-up email to the client.

• The Result: I can be fully present in the conversation, knowing the “admin” is being handled flawlessly.

The Only Place That Actually Exists

When I finally closed my laptop last Tuesday, the house was quiet. But I felt different.

I realized that the past (the “glory days”) had its own weight. And the future (the Japan/Australia trip) might never arrive if I burned out before I got there.

The only place that actually exists is right now.

You didn’t build your business to become a high-paid data entry clerk. You built it to lead, to create, and to live a life of freedom. The tools are here. The data from Gallup, Microsoft, and Harvard is clear: The old way of working is broken.

It’s time to build your Board so you can actually live in the moment you’ve worked so hard to create.
